Stony Brook’s Newest Safe Space

The new LGBTQ* Center opened up today on the second floor of West Side Dining. A new safe haven for students is surely a reason to celebrate this Friday! This new center will be the location for LGBTQ* Service’s programs and events such as their affinity discussion groups and book club called “Reading Rainbows”. The main goal behind this new headquarters is to create a stronger sense of community and a safe space for all students to go. LGBTQ* Services intern Nicole Grima put it best when she said, “There’s something nice about chilling in a space that was made for you”. It’s awesome that we now have one on campus!
