On September 23rd, we had our first Stony Brook CommUniversity Day to celebrate our 60th anniversary. This was a day to raise more awareness about our awesome campus to all of the neighboring friends, families and communities. Individuals could enjoy the hands-on experiences hosted by a range of departments within Stony Brook, including but not limited to live performances in the center of the Academic mall, instrument petting zoo in front of the Staller Center and the traditional rubber duck races down the Admission Brook.
Everyone enjoyed the free activities and giveaways from the “Neighborhoods” station, as well as the delicious Stony Brook 60th anniversary cupcake. The day ended with the Seawolves football game vs. Towson university. This was a perfect day to show everyone the diversity within our community as well as the strong connections we Seawolves have with each other!
