Our Common Purpose

Hello Seawolves! During the summer, many of our fellow Seawolves went to a four day leadership conference in New York City. With the support of the Dean of Students Office, as well as the Global Leadership Experience Institute, 25 of our exemplary leaders, along with three other State University of New York Institutions, gathered together and learned how to be impeccable leaders.

With the city as their backyard, these students took part in a wide range of activities, with the help of organizations across New York, to explore their unique styles of leadership. Together, with the University of Albany, Binghamton and FIT, they all had the common purpose to explore the challenge of “How do smart cities ensure they are inclusive?” The family that this amazing group created through partaking in this AWESOME opportunity not only expanded their own perspective circles, but also helped them to embrace each and every diverse circle around them.
